We are a women-led support organisation dedicated to empowering women, girls, and young people through education, safeguarding and wellbeing, community chaplaincy, and leadership development programmes that strengthen individuals and communities. Our work takes an intersectional approach, recognising how poverty interacts with gender, race, age, disability, immigration status, and caring responsibilities. We intentionally include voices from multiple marginalised groups so that change is inclusive and meaningful. Across the UK, our programmes—including chaplaincy and leadership training—are delivered free of charge, ensuring access is based on need and potential rather than ability to pay, while remaining open, ethical, and community-focused.

FOUNDER'S MESSAGE

Before I took my first breath, my father and mother had already gone their separate ways. My mother, still a young woman, found herself pregnant and alone. With nowhere else to turn, she returned to her parents’ home....
What Inspired Us to Start GWSH?
From Struggle to Strength, From Hope to Purpose
The Global Women Support Hub (GWSH)was born not in comfort, but in faith, pain, and an unshakable vision for change. Since 2012, under The ROOT MHSF Community Interest, we began by teaching sewing and design—what started as a simple skill became a powerful pathway to dignity, confidence, and the courage to dream again. With limited resources but limitless belief, we have witnessed women rise from brokenness to brilliance, building businesses, lifting families, and reclaiming their worth. Yet behind every transformation lies years of hidden struggle unpaid bills, unaffordable rents, and the constant battle to sustain services without stable funding. Still, we pressed on, because the vision was greater than the pain.
London (UK) remains a deeply unequal city, and we exist to help change that. Our work supports women, girls, and young people facing economic and social disadvantage, creating pathways to wellbeing, dignity, and opportunity regardless of background or circumstance. Through education, safeguarding, community chaplaincy, and leadership development, we work alongside communities most affected by inequality to strengthen resilience, amplify unheard voices, and contribute to a fairer London where everyone has the chance to thrive.
GWSH exists because women deserve more than survival; they deserve the chance to heal, to grow, and to lead. We believe that when one woman rises, generations rise with her. Today, our dream is to establish a permanent Women’s Centre—a vibrant place of learning, healing, and entrepreneurship, where every woman can walk in broken and walk out whole. This is not just a project. It is a movement. It is a legacy. It is a future built by and for women who refuse to give up. And with your support, this vision will live.
